National network of science parks


TEKEL

  • acts as science park expert and promoter in Finland
  • together with its member centres and partners, develops internationally attractive environments for innovation
  • coordinates co-operation within the TEKEL network
  • creates and maintains connections with the public sector, the business community, the education and research sectors and international networks in the field
  • participates actively in national programmes such as the implementation of the Centre of Expertise Programme (OSKE), and represents Finland in the Enterprise Europe Network.


Members of the TEKEL network


support the creation, growth and internationalisation of technology- and skills-intensive business and growth companies. Typically, technology centres and science parks offer their customers

  • innovation and operating environments that stimulate growth
  • business development services
  • programme and project co-operation, and
  • key contacts and networking services

The operational impact of TEKEL centres extends to 14,100 companies, 2,200 of which are based in science parks.
