Co-operation with Institutes of Higher Education

The core of science park activity - co-operation with institutes of higher education

The bridge between science parks and the academic community has been strong since the very inception of science parks. The basic idea of productive co-operation utilising customer companies is inbuilt in the principles of science park activity. In principle, co-operation must also produce concrete benefits for the world of academia.

There are many different kinds of co-operation between science parks and institutes of higher education, and they vary from region to region. Usually, co-operation particularly manifests itself in the creation and development of business development services, pre-incubator and incubator services, technology incubators within the structure of customer companies, co-operative projects and co-operation in office facilities. In many areas, the universities also own shares in the science parks.
