Finnish network of science parks
TEKEL is a nationwide co-operative network of Finnish science parks and technology centres, containing 34 members in Finland’s university cities.
TEKEL member centres support the creation, growth and internationalisation of technology-intensive business and growth companies.
Science parks are independent companies established to take advantage of regional strengths. Their ownership base consists of companies, universities, municipalities, financing bodies, organisations, foundations and private investors. The centres are managed locally and their boards of directors usually contain representatives from the business community, the worlds of higher education and research and the public sector.
